This year in Lebap velayat, 10,200 hectares of land were allocated for rice cultivation, from which it is planned to obtain a total of 47,400 tons, or about 47 centners of harvest per hectare.

To achieve this goal, rice farmers are currently tending to the seedlings according to agronomic standards. The high organizational level of preparatory work for sowing this moisture-loving crop allowed for uniform seedling emergence in the fields, while ensuring sufficient irrigation water and timely soil fertilization with mineral fertilizers contributes to normal plant growth.

According to the plan, this season 3,140 hectares were sown with rice in Sayat etrap, 3,080 hectares in Charjev etrap and 2,160 hectares in Danev etrap.

The organized work currently being carried out in the region’s rice fields strengthens confidence that the daikhans of Lebap velayat will be able to obtain a rich rice harvest this year as well.
