In Moqiao village, Hongqi town, Qiongshan district of Haikou in south China’s Hainan Province, the rice fields stretch out like a golden sea, their rich fragrance filling the air.

The local government has carefully selected and promoted high-yield rice varieties suited to Hainan’s climate, while introducing an innovative smart management model. The model covers every stage of the production cycle, from seed and variety selection to crop management, technical services, and procurement, effectively lowering costs and risks for farmers.

Modern technologies, such as drones, are also used, helping turn rice cultivation into a major industry that boosts farmers’ incomes and supports rural revitalization.

Additionally, a range of collaborative mechanisms provides comprehensive support, engaging over 4,600 households in rice farming and transforming once abandoned land into fertile soil.
