TDAP showcases Pakistan’s food products at SIAL China 2026

By Press Release

SHANGHAI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is participating in the prestigious SIAL China 2026 from 18–20 May 2026 in Shanghai, China, with the participation of 13 leading Pakistani companies representing rice, processed food, beverages, Himalayan pink salt, dairy products, sesame seeds, and other food items.

Pakistan’s participation aims to strengthen trade ties with China and promote the country’s high-quality food and agricultural products in one of the world’s largest food import markets. Chinese buyers, importers, distributors, and food companies are expected to visit the Pakistan Pavilion for business engagements and sourcing opportunities.

China remains one of Pakistan’s leading trading partners and an important destination for Pakistani agri-food exports. Pakistan’s exports of agricultural and food products to China have witnessed encouraging growth during 2025–26, particularly in rice and other food categories. Pakistani rice exports to China recorded substantial growth, reflecting increasing demand and greater market access in the Chinese market. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, Pakistan’s rice exports to China surged significantly, exceeding USD45 million, reflecting strong potential for further expansion.

TDAP expressed optimism that Pakistan’s participation in SIAL China 2026 will help participating companies secure export orders, establish long-term business partnerships, and further diversify Pakistan’s exports to China. The exhibition also provides an important opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s quality food products and strengthen bilateral trade cooperation between the two countries.
