Farmers at Hongguang village in Jiutai district of Changchun, Jilin province, were looking forward to a bumper harvest when large harvesting machines recently started working their farmland.

They harvested, sorted, dried, and stored the rice, creating a delightful scene in the golden autumn days.

This year, rice has been planted in over 276 hectares of farmland in the village, and over 30 percent of that has been harvested so far. The farmers expect to achieve a yield of 8,000 kilograms per hectare, with a year-on-year increase of 500 kg.
