Indonesia rice output in year to July seen down 0.35%

In the May-July period, Indonesia’s rice output is expected to reach 7.92 million tons, down 1.16% from the same period last year.

JAKARTA: Indonesia expects its rice output in the year to July to be 21.95 million metric tons, down 0.35% from a year earlier, data from the statistics bureau showed on Tuesday.

In the May-July period, Indonesia’s rice output is expected to reach 7.92 million tons, down 1.16% from the same period last year.

Indonesia expects a longer and more severe dry season this year due to El Nino, which started in April and will likely peak around August.
