Export rice bags are seen being loaded onto an overseas-going merchant vessel.

The Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation invited companies wishing to apply for registration to export rice and broken rice to China to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
Companies seeking to export rice and broken rice to China are required to verify compliance with the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Protocol to seek registration for rice export to China, as stipulated under the bilateral plant health requirements agreement signed between Myanmar and China.
New companies seeking registration for rice export, excluding previously approved companies, can submit their EOI in both hard copy and soft copy in a Word file to the Department of Agriculture and to the Technical Working Group of Myanmar Rice Federation by 30 June.
Applications are available at the Plant Protection Division located on Bayintnaung Road, West Gyogon, Insein, Yangon, at 01 644214 and email at directorppddoa@gmail.com or through the Technical Working Committee of the Myanmar Rice Federation Office located on the 9th Floor, UMFCCI, Min Ye Kyaw Swa Road, Latha Township at 01 218266/68 and 01 2301128/29, or email admin@mrf.com.mm. Application forms can also be downloaded from https://www.doa.gov.mm, https://ppd.doa.gov.mm, and www.umfcci.com.mm. — NN/KK
