JAKARTA – Perum Bulog Aceh Regional Office ensures the availability of basic food stocks, especially rice, in a very safe condition ahead of the increasing community needs during the Megang Tradition, the holy month of Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

Based on the stock position data as of January 18, 2026, Bulog Aceh holds the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) of 62,820 tons spread across all warehouses and branch offices in the Aceh region.

In addition, Bulog also manages 191,428 liters of cooking oil stocks, so that the community’s food supply can continue to be maintained in a stable condition.

President Director of Perum Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani emphasized that the availability of very abundant stocks is a strong foundation in supporting various government assignments, ranging from price stabilization, disaster management to direct assistance to the community.

“Until mid-January 2026, the distribution of food assistance and CBP in Aceh is running well. The total realization of CBP for disasters has reached 14,435 tons, while the rice food assistance has been distributed 9,980 tons. The realization rate in districts/cities is also close to even reaching 100 percent,” said Rizal in an official statement, Sunday, January 18.

Rizal said the effectiveness of distribution proved Bulog’s readiness in maintaining stock resilience while ensuring that community needs are met during high consumption periods.

Meanwhile, Bulog Aceh also ensures that the logistics conditions in the highland area remain under control. At the Takengon Branch Office, the estimated physical stock was recorded at around 280 tons per January 17, 2026.

The amount will soon be strengthened through the delivery of an additional 5,000 tons of rice from the Lhokseumawe Warehouse until the end of January to secure the needs of Central Aceh Regency (Takengon) and Bener Meriah.

At the same time, Bulog is also preparing a strategy to strengthen stocks through cross-regional logistics movements from Aceh, North Sumatra, to DKI Jakarta, with a total delivery plan of 1,200 tons.

This step is taken to ensure food availability, especially in areas with high distribution challenges, such as the Gayo highlands, Takengon, and its surroundings.

With these efforts, Bulog ensures that the supply is immediately filled optimally so that it can cover the distribution of government assistance while maintaining the adequacy of the community’s routine consumption in the lead-up to Ramadan.

Rizal said, Bulog is committed to price stability, smooth distribution, and food stock security throughout Aceh so that the community can carry out the Tradition of Megang, worship Ramadan, and celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 H with calm and full sufficiency.
