USA Rice Strengthens Relations with Taiwan’s Foodservice Sector

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – The Taiwan Chef Association, an affiliate of the World Association of Chefs Societies (Worldchefs), is a leading professional body representing chefs across Taiwan and actively engaged in international culinary exchange. USA Rice has developed a strong partnership with the Association through past collaborations in chef education programs and competition support, using this platform to promote the versatility and quality of U.S. rice within the culinary community.
This week, during the Association’s presidential inauguration and gala dinner, USA Rice was honored to be appointed as the Distinguished Culinary Consultant. To mark the occasion, a rice dish was served to more than 300 members, highlighting the premium quality, taste, and diverse applications of U.S. rice in both traditional and modern cuisine.
“Association members come from all aspects of the foodservice and hospitality sectors working in a wide variety of positions from chef trainees and instructors to top culinary management personnel,” said USA Rice COO Sarah Moran. “Their exposure to the positive attributes of U.S. rice has the potential to influence purchasing decisions as well as menu creation.”
Taiwan, which imports rice from the mid-South and California, is the United States’ fourth-largest export market for medium grain, with shipments exceeding $37 million in 2025.
