Trainees invited for Rice Milling Production Technology Courses

Global New Light of Myanmar

Under the public-private collaboration between the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training and the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF), Rice Milling Production Technology courses will be offered as Fully Funded Internship Training at the School of Industrial Training and Education (SITE).
The courses include Level 1 (Certificate in Rice Processing Technology) and Level 2 (Higher Certificate in Rice Processing Technology).
Those who have attended GTHS, GTI, those who have studied mechanical/electrical engineering, GTHS and AGTI graduates, and those currently working in rice mills or production factories are eligible to attend the courses. Trainees will be selected through an entry interview.
The course duration is three months for Level 1 and four months for Higher Certificate (Level 2). Trainees will receive certificates issued by the SITE and MRF, and have job opportunities at the rice mills upon completion of the course. Living allowance (food and accommodation) will be provided during the training period as well.
Instruction will be conducted at the Industrial Technology Training School through theoretical and practical approaches at rice mills and rice-related factories. Trainees must attend full-time during training hours.

Applicants must submit their applications between 4 and 22 May, along with a copy of their citizenship scrutiny card, household registration, residence recommendation from the ward administrative office, criminal clearance certificate from the relevant police station, education qualification documents, recommendation letter from employers of the respective company, mills and factories.
