Total of 9,500 metric tons of rice imported, announces Customs

Colombo, December 17 (Daily Mirror) – The Sri Lanka Customs announced today that a total of 9,500 metric tons of rice has been imported into the country as of now.

Customs spokesman and Director Seevali Arukgoda stated that the imported stock includes 3,300 metric tons of Raw and 6,200 metric tons of Nadu rice.

However, the concession period for importing rice will end at noon on December 20, he said.
