The product was distributed in the Italian market by Fresh Tropical Srl by Jawad, a company specializing in ethnic products based at via A. da Giussano 22, in Corbetta, in the metropolitan city of Milan. As a precautionary measure and to protect consumer health, the company has advised not to consume the basmati rice with the above-mentioned best before date. Consumers who may have packages of rice from this batch are invited to return it to the point of sale where it was purchased, to obtain a refund or a replacement product. The recall has been activated to avoid health risks associated with consuming the product, as the excess of pesticides could have negative consequences for the body. Health authorities recommend that anyone who has purchased the product carefully check the indicated batch and follow the company’s instructions to return the product without any risk.
