Pakistan has achieved a historic milestone this fiscal year, generating $4 billion in revenue through rice exports for the first time.

This accomplishment supported by the Sustainable Industries and Financial Corporation (SIFC) has prompted an increase in the export target to $5 billion for the upcoming fiscal year.

The country has seen remarkable growth in agricultural production, with basmati rice output soaring by 188% and silver rice by 17%. Additionally, Pakistan’s mango exports are gaining traction in the Chinese market, with 4214 kilograms exported this year alone.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, total merchandise exports for the fiscal year 2025 reached $5.05 billion, a 14% increase from the previous year’s $4.43 billion.

Moreover, Pakistan Refinery Limited reported a substantial profit of PKR 4.06 billion, up from PKR 1.82 billion in 2023, highlighting the financial improvements across various sectors.
