Myanmar targets 3 mnt of rice exports amid rising global demand

The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) has set an export target of 3 mnt for the current financial year, building on steady growth from the previous year. China remains the largest buyer of Myanmar rice, followed by Indonesia and the Philippines, while several European and African nations also feature among the top importers. Myanmar’s rice exports rely mainly on sea trade, with only limited volumes moving through border points.
