Myanmar rice exports exceed 1.5 mln tons in 7 months

YANGON, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) — Myanmar exported more than 1.5 million tons of rice and broken rice in the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2025-2026, the state-owned Myanmar Radio and Television reported on Thursday.

The Southeast Asian country earned 499 million U.S. dollars from rice exports from April to October this year, it said, citing the Myanmar Rice Federation.

The federation aims to achieve 3 million tons of rice exports in the current fiscal year, it said.
