MRPs issued for imported rice

Raw Rice Rs. 210/kg, Nadu Rs. 220/kg, Samba Rs. 230/kg, Ponni Samba Rs. 240/kg, Kiri Ponni/Paal Ponni Rs. 255/kg

The Consumer Affairs Authority has issued a gazette notification announcing the maximum retail prices (MRPs) for imported rice varieties, effective from Tuesday (21).

Accordingly, the MRP for Raw Rice is Rs. 210 per kilogram (kg), Nadu is Rs. 220 per kg, Samba is Rs. 230 per kg, Ponni Samba (equivalent to Keeri Samba) is Rs. 240 per kg, and Kiri Ponni or Paal Ponni is Rs. 255 per kg.
