MRF targets to reach 1.8MT of rice export in H2 FY 2025-2026

Rice sacks designated for export are seen being loaded onto vessels.

The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) aims to meet rice export of 1.8 million tonnes during the second half of the current financial year 2025-2026, with 300,000 tonnes of rice per month.
Myanmar’s rice export exceeded 1.2 million in the first half (April-August) this FY, bagging US$408 million. Myanmar mainly exported rice to China with 346,919 tonnes of rice and 247,985 non-premium rice, followed by the Philippines and Spain.
Myanmar conveyed 2.48 million tonnes of rice export in the FY 2024-2025, with an estimated value of over 1.12 billion. — ASH/KK
