Rice farmers affiliated with Qixing Farm at Jiansanjiang Company of Beidahuang Group, a large State-owned enterprise in Heilongjiang province, were thrilled when large harvesting machines started working their farmland in recent days.

On the vast fields of the farm, intelligent harvesters equipped with the Beidou navigation system move through the golden rice paddies. The machines carry out harvesting, threshing, and straw crushing.

The company is promoting segmented harvesting methods based on weather conditions, rice maturity, and land characteristics to reduce rice harvest losses and alleviate the pressure of post-frost harvesting.

Agricultural technicians delve into the fields to scientifically plan harvesting times and machinery allocation.

The company is expected to complete harvesting more than 650,000 hectares of rice by mid-October.
