Experts share market insights at rice milling tech training
Global New Light of Myanmar

According to the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF), industry experts, resource persons, and guest speakers were invited to the Rice Milling and Production Technology Training to share knowledge regarding domestic and international market conditions alongside their experiences.
The training, which includes Level 1 (Certificate Level) and Level 2 (Higher Certificate Level), is a collaboration between the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the MRF. This marks the first time the course has been opened through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), with a total of 55 students.
The MRF noted that in addition to the standard curriculum, the programme organized seminar sessions. These featured guest speakers and resource persons discussed essential industry facts, market trends, practical workplace challenges, and recommendations.
Furthermore, on 27 January, Professor Dr Aung Tun Thet delivered a lecture on “Leadership Excellence” to the trainees at the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI). As the theoretical portion of the course nears completion, the MRF confirmed that students will soon begin On-the-Job Training (OJT) at major rice mills to gain practical experience. — MT/ZN
