Bulog Calls Uniform Packaging Easy Distribution And Maintaining SPHP Rice Quality

JAKARTA – Perum Bulog emphasized that the use of uniform packaging on 5 kilograms of Stableized Supply and Food Price (SPHP) rice will facilitate distribution, increase affordability and maintain the quality of rice evenly throughout the region.
“The design of the packaging is uniform, the distribution of SPHP rice is expected to be easier for the public to recognize, as well as maintain product quality until it reaches consumers,” said Bulog Procurement Director Prihasto Setyanto quoting Antara.
He conveyed that Perum Bulog is committed to maintaining national food availability through the provision of quality rice that is easily accessible to the public.
One of the supporters of the program is the availability of rice packaging in accordance with applicable specifications and conditions.
Bulog took one of the strategic steps, namely the implementation of the procurement of 5 kilograms of SPHP rice packaging in phase II in 2025, which was marked by the signing of a contract with packaging provider partners at the Perum Bulog Headquarters Building.
He emphasized that the packaging procurement process was carried out completely in an open, professional manner, and in accordance with government regulations by emphasizing the application of the principles of transparency and openness to the public.
Procurement of these packaging is expected to be able to produce the best products, both in terms of quality and quantity, and ensure the timeliness of production and delivery in order to support the smooth distribution of SPHP rice.
He revealed that the process of procuring the Phase II SPHP packaging was carried out through an open tender starting from August 25 to September 17, 2025.
The official cooperation agreement contract was signed on September 18, 2025, and since that date the provider has started producing to meet the needs of SPHP rice packaging in all regional offices and Perum Bulog branches.
“The plan to ship packaging to the kanwil warehouses throughout Indonesia is scheduled to start in the fourth week of September 2025,” said Prihasto.
With this step, Bulog ensures that the availability of packaging can support the smooth distribution of SPHP rice to the community, while at the same time supporting the stabilization of supply and price of rice in the market.
Bulog emphasized that the procurement of packaging is not only to meet technical needs, but also part of efforts to strengthen public trust.
“We believe that the success of maintaining food is not only determined by rice stocks, but also by reliable distribution management and logistical system support,” said Prihasto.
