Brazilian rice exports totaled 474,800 metric tons on a paddy-equivalent basis in the third quarter of 2026, up 3.3% from the same period last year. Revenue, however, fell 3% to $121.9 million.

The figures were released on Tuesday, October 20, by the Brazilian Rice Industry Association (Abiarroz), based on ComexStat data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC).

Seaborne rice exports also posted solid results. With more than 1.1 million metric tons shipped, exports increased to Latin American destinations such as Venezuela, up 27%, and Costa Rica, up 63%. See more details on the volumes recorded below:

In the year through September, export volumes rose 48.9% compared with the same period last year. Shipments totaled 1.59 million metric tons from January through September. Export revenue for the period reached $388.7 million, an increase of 20.4%.
