Analyst expects lower U.S. rice acres, watches cotton ahead of USDA acreage report
By Carah Hart

USDA’s Acreage report will be released on Tuesday, and a market analyst with RCM Ag Services says he’s interested to see what surprises could be coming for rice and cotton.
Jamie Wilkerson says he’s expecting U.S. planted rice acres to be lower than USDA expected. “I really think they overstated the acreage in March, the intentions for Arkansas, especially, at 900,000 acres.
