Cambodia has made a strong impression on the international stage as 13 of its leading rice exporters took part in ANUGA 2025, the world’s premier food and beverage trade fair, held in Cologne, Germany.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, Samheng Bora, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce and Chairman of the Export Promotion Task Force, led the Cambodian delegation to the official opening of the Cambodia Rice Federation Pavilion. The event marked a strategic push to promote the Kingdom’s premium-quality rice, strengthen trade ties, and enhance Cambodia’s visibility in European and global markets.
According to the Secretary of State, the launch of the pavilion aims to broaden market access and raise the international profile of Cambodian rice, which has steadily gained recognition for its exceptional quality and distinctive flavour.
The pavilion brings together some of the nation’s foremost rice processing and exporting companies, including Golden Rice (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Indochina Rice Mill Limited, Golden Star Rice Mill and Import Export Co., Ltd., Amru Rice (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Kampong Thom Rice Mill Limited, City Rice Import Export Co., Ltd., Daily Fresh Foods (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., LorEak Heng Sek Meas Rice Co., Ltd., Signature Rice Co., Ltd., Golden Daun Keo Rice Mill Co., Ltd., Fedrice Battambang Ltd., Eang Heang Import Export Co., Ltd., and Primalis Corporation Ltd.
The participation of these 13 exporters at ANUGA 2025 is seen as a significant milestone for Cambodia’s export sector. It not only highlights the competitiveness of Cambodian rice but also underscores the country’s ambition to secure a stronger foothold in key European markets.
“The participation of these 13 exporters at ANUGA 2025 is a source of national pride, positioning Cambodian rice on the world stage,” said Samheng Bora. “Beyond promoting quality and standards, Cambodia’s strong presence at this international exhibition reflects a commitment to attracting new investment and expanding direct supply networks with major buyers in Europe and beyond.”
The Cambodia Rice Federation Pavilion serves as a strategic platform to drive exports, create business linkages, and reinforce Cambodia’s reputation as a reliable supplier of premium rice. By engaging directly with international buyers, Cambodian exporters aim to forge long-term partnerships, secure new distribution channels, and boost export volumes to high-value markets.
ANUGA, held biennially, attracts thousands of exhibitors and buyers from across the globe, making it a crucial marketplace for agricultural and food producers seeking to expand their international reach. Cambodia’s active participation this year signals the Kingdom’s growing confidence and readiness to compete in global value chains while positioning its agricultural products—especially rice—as world-class commodities.
