27,000 tons of rice imported from India

A vessel, carrying the second shipment of rice imported from India, arrived at the Chittagong port.

The vessel MV SDR Universe, carrying 26,935 tons of boiled rice, arrived at the outer anchorage of the Chittagong port at 7:15 on Saturday (January 11) from the Kakinada Port in Andhra Pradesh, India under the agreement for rice import from India.

Earlier, the first shipment, carrying 24,690 tons of boiled rice, arrived at the port’s Jetty No 11 on December 26 aboard the vessel MV Tanais Dream.
