Another big week of planting for Arkansas farmers.

Statewide, corn is 95 percent planted, 84 percent of the crop emerged, and 68 percent is rated good to excellent. Rice is 94 percent planted and 81 percent emerged, with 75 percent rated good to excellent. Soybeans are 76 percent planted, 59 percent emerged, and 81 percent rated good to excellent. Peanuts are 59 percent planted, and 22 percent emerged. Cotton is 46 percent planted and 24 percent emerged. 

Winter wheat is 84 percent headed and 28 percent coloring, with 68 percent rated good to excellent.

Hay conditions are 58 percent good to excellent, pasture conditions are 61 percent good to excellent, and vegetables are 31 percent good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 93 percent, and subsoil moisture is 90 percent, adequate to surplus.
